Terms

The short version: Hum is a paid product with 14 free days to start, it isn’t a treatment, and it comes without guarantees. By using it, you agree to what’s below.

Draft of 4 November 2026. Hum is run by [Operator name]. Contact: contact@humfocus.com.

This is a draft. It hasn’t had legal review, and the marked gaps still need filling in.

What Hum is

Hum plays music and background sound for focus, relaxing, meditating and sleep. Hum isn’t a medical device or a treatment and doesn’t diagnose anything. Don’t use it in place of advice from a doctor.

Keep the volume at a comfortable level. If you have epilepsy or sound-triggered seizures, ask your doctor first. Don’t use Hum where you need to hear what’s around you, such as while driving.

Free days and price

Your first 14 days are free, and Hum doesn’t ask for a card. When they end, you need a plan or a code to keep listening. You’ll see the price before paying anything, and nothing will be charged unless you choose to pay.

If you subscribe, Stripe takes the payment on its own page, and Hum never receives your card details. The price and renewal terms are shown before you pay. A subscription renews until you cancel, which you can do at any time under Manage subscription in your account. You keep access until the end of the time you’ve paid for. Deleting your account cancels your subscription at once. [Refund and withdrawal terms] [Tax wording]

A promo code gives free access for the time it states. Each account can use a code once, and codes have no cash value. [Promo code terms]

Hum is new, so things can change or stop working. We may change features, or end the service, and we’ll try to tell you here first.

Your account

You need an account to keep listening past the preview. You must be at least [Minimum age]. Keep your password and recovery code safe. Hum doesn’t send password reset links by email, and without either one we may not be able to get you back in.

You can delete your account any time in the app. We may suspend an account that attacks or abuses the service, or that breaks the law through it.

The music

You may listen to Hum’s music for your own personal use. Please don’t copy the library, redistribute it, or scrape it. Some tracks were made with an open-source AI model, and they’re labelled in the library. [Licence terms for commercial or public use]

No guarantees

Hum is provided as it is. We don’t promise that it will improve your focus, relaxation or sleep, or that it will always be available. The science page explains how limited the evidence is.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using Hum. Nothing here removes rights you have by law that can’t be removed. [Liability wording for legal review]

Your privacy, changes and disputes

The privacy page says what’s stored and who can see it.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. These terms are governed by [Governing law]. Questions go to contact@humfocus.com.
